Resize an Image

1. There are multiple ways to open the Microsoft Paint application.
   • From your Windows desktop, click the Start Menu. Scroll through all apps and click Windows Accessories, then click Paint.
   • You can also find the Paint application using the search bar. Hold the Windows key and then press the S key. Type Paint in the search bar and it should be the first application listed.
   • You can also open the Paint application by right-clicking on the image file you wish to edit, select Open With, and then select Paint.
2. Once you have opened your image file in Paint, click Resize from the menu bar.
   
3. A pop-up window will appear. You can resize an image by Percentage or by Pixels. We will use Pixels since this image in bound for a website or newsletter. Click the Pixels button. Also check the box for Maintain Aspect Ratio.
   
4. The average newsletter width is about 630 pixels, so enter 630 in the Horizontal Resize field.

5. Click OK.
6. Click File and then click Save or Save As to save your changes to the file.
   
7. You have completed resizing the image and it is now ready to be used in your website or newsletter.
