This article and video show how to resize an image for your website.
Note: This process works for Windows PCs by using the Microsoft Paint application.

Resize an Image
- There are multiple ways to open the Microsoft Paint application.
- From your Windows desktop, click the Start Menu. Scroll through all apps and click Windows Accessories, then click Paint.
- You can also find the Paint application using the search bar. Hold the Windows key and then press the S key. Type Paint in the search bar and it should be the first application listed.
- You can also open the Paint application by right-clicking on the image file you wish to edit, select Open With, and then select Paint.
- Once you have opened your image file in Paint, click Resize from the menu bar.
- A pop-up window will appear. You can resize an image by Percentage or by Pixels. We will use Pixels since this image in bound for a website or newsletter. Click the Pixels button. Also check the box for Maintain Aspect Ratio.
- The average newsletter width is about 630 pixels, so enter 630 in the Horizontal Resize field.

- Click OK.
- Click File and then click Save or Save As to save your changes to the file.
- You have completed resizing the image and it is now ready to be used in your website or newsletter.
